As the damage varies depending on the depth of the chip, the price also varies. If you can bring your pieces in, we'll be happy to give you a quote. There's absolutely no obligation and you don't pay until the work is complete.

That's a great question, but one your local glass company would be better able to answer. Since building codes and ordinances vary by municipality, I would only be guessing at what would work best for you. In the DFW area, standard annealed glass is fine for shelving.

My concern is that I live in California and we often have earthquakes. I am planning on installing shelves into my bedroom and if the shelf were to fall and break, which would be safer? I have heard that tempered glass breaks into cubes, which are less likely to cause a lot of physical damage, and I know that annealed glass can break into sharp shards and dust. What type of glass would you prefer?

You bring up some great points about the health benefits that shower doors can potentially provide! In addition to being beautiful, shower doors do allow for a cleaner shower space with less potential for mold and mildew growth and therefore a reduced chance of the health complications that they can cause. As you mentioned, homeowners may also benefit from the additional exposure to steam that glass shower doors can facilitate. These are just a couple of reasons to add to the long list of reasons that homeowners may want to consider glass shower doors.
